The ceremony of handing over seized drugs to the Myanmar government by Restoration Council of the Shan State / Shan State Army was held at the police station of Mongton township, Mongsat district on 8 May 2019.
30 Kilograms of ice were seized by RCSS/SSA after its patrolling troops stopped a group of traffickers and encountered small clashes at the river crossing of Ta Mong Moon at the bank of Nam Khin river in Mongton at 11 AM on 26 April 2019.
There were two parts of the ceremony. The handing over of the details and causes of the seized drugs in a report by Col. Tuen Khur was received by district police head, police Lt. Col. Saw Zay Ya Lin and the handing over of the seized drugs to the government by the head of RCSS Drug Eradication Department, Lt. Col. Sai Harn was received by police Maj. Win Zaw.
Presented at the ceremony of handing over seized drugs to the government by RCSS/SSA were 35 persons in total with RCSS delegation led by Col. Tuen Khur and Lt. Col. Sai Harn, the government delegation led by district head, police Lt. Col. Saw Zay Ya Lin, and guests invited from wards and township to witness the ceremony.
