On March 12, 2021, RCSS/SSA arrested 4 traffickers with 3 vehicles and seized 600,000 Methamphetamine tablets and 10 Kg of heroin from them. The traffickers said drugs were brought from Mongsu area east of Mong Nawng and to be sent to the buyers.
The burning ceremony of the seized drugs was held on March 21, 2021 in Mong Nim track of Kaysi township in northern Shan State according to the RCSS drug policy.
Attended at the ceremony were the Buddhist monks giving the speech on the dangers of narcotic drugs, the village track leaders and around 1,000 people in Kaysi township.
